Official merchandise now available!
Hey there fellow readers,
I’m very pleased to announce that I am now able to offer official merchandise - in this case clothing - for my books direct from right here on my website.
I’ve sunk a lot of time and frustration into seeking how to offer t-shirts and more at the quality I would want to offer. Most easily accessible platforms for creators such as myself, including Redbubble and Zazzle, only really offer single side printing for their clothing; while platforms such as Society6 do not offer hosting via an external website such as your own website, instead requiring you to sell via their centralised website.
I also can’t offer traditional t-shirts, as it requires me to order stock blindly in the hopes that they eventually sell. So, I also needed to find a print on demand (POD) partner. All of this combining to create a very stringent set of perimeters that needed to be checked off.
Finally, as most of my reader base is based in Canada, I wanted to make sure that shipping wasn’t egregious for Canadian purchasers; as I personally hate that myself, when you commit to adding a shirt to your cart from your favourite creator, only to find that shipping costs are the same as the value of the item itself.
I’m happy to say that all of those perimeters were met with Printful. Printful are able to allow printing on multiple areas of the garment, allowing me to match the complex screen printed t-shirts I’ve previously offered as Kickstarter rewards for books such as The Burning Black: The Legend Of Black Shuck and Siegfried: Dragon Slayer. Shipping for Canadian purchasers is fair, as it is for American, British, and European purchasers, as Printful has fulfillment (printing and shipping) centres across North America and Europe.
Due to having fulfillment centres across North America and Europe, they’ll deliver in-time for Christmas (so long as you order before the shipping cut-off dates of your territory).
